Out and About

Hey Brisbane, do you feel lucky?

From the players who brought us Strike Bowling and Holey Moley Golf Club, comes the latest grown-up playground – B. Lucky & Sons.

So, call the crew and summon the tribe, YOU WILL NOT WANT TO MISS THIS!

If you thought being lucky was finding a fiver on the footpath, getting a straight run on the M1 from the Goldie or smiling your way out of a parking fine, then think again…… because B. Lucky & Sons is going to reset your Luck-o-Meter! There’s a new joint in town; yes, there’s brilliant booze and food, and what’s better is it comes by way of a retro gamers’ nirvana – think Pawn Shop meets glam-chic. Brisbane just hit the jackpot!

Tucked inside the historic TC Beirne building in Fortitude Valley, B. Lucky & Sons is a hustler’s haven, a player’s paradise, a gamer’s delight, a cocktail connoisseur’s longyard, with pawn shop prizes to make the collective jaws of fashionistas, collectors, tradies, bar-hounds and the uber cool drop to the ground.

Set to open on September 27 it’s the first of its kind, so get your game on Brisbane!

Lucky & Sons combines the nostalgic thrill of playing games, with an eclectic grown-up twist. It’s got a nip of neon, a smidge of London Town and a hint of Hong Kong, with fun delivered in spades; it’s the adult playground you never knew you were missing.

Enter through a pawn shop façade and encounter a mish-mashed den of moody dazzlement and delight…. Fancy yourself a gaming master? Prove your worth on the range of arcade games including The Walking Dead, Monster Drop, Mario Kart & the world exclusive, Roller Fortune. Pick your plays wisely, master the games and you might find yourself triumphantly choosing from the trove of treasures in the prize parlour pawn shop.

From vintage Chanel bags to Playstation 4’s, strike it lucky on the ridiculously cool range of redemption games & these coveted collectibles could be yours! We are not even kidding!!

B Lucky & Sons is the perfect place for the young-at-heart to indulge in business or pleasure. The drinks menu is a jumble of cultures, fed through a time warp; think ale in dimpled English pint glasses, boozy bubble cups, and punch bowl cocktails served with grandma’s floral tea cups. Fancy a breakfast-esque option? Try the martini with a side of toast and raspberry jam.  Or The Tarotino – featuring Smirnoff Vodka, Marie Brizard Chocolat Royal, Kahlua, Almond and Yuzo, this is a mad dessert espresso martini served with a gold rim of edible glitter. Boom!

Bubble cups more your style? Try the Passion Crackle Smirnoff Vodka – passionfruit and peach tea shaken with apple-flavoured pearls and jellies. Nice.

Hungry? There’s stone-baked pizza you’ll be boasting about for days (try the Bang On which features gravy, potato crisps, sausage & onion jam and the Naked siu mai which delivers crispy wonton wrappers, bonito flakes, prawns, mushrooms, sweet soy, sesame & chives), there’s old school fish ‘n chips, chicken wings, sides for days and tapas-inspired dishes that will surprise and delight!

Lucky & Sons is at home in the TC Beirne Department Store, a heritage-listed art deco building. Constructed in 1902, the TC Beirne Building was designed as a department store by Brisbane architect Robin Dodds; during the 1950s, the TC Beirne building and the nearby McWhirters, established Fortitude Valley as the largest shopping precinct outside of a central business district in Australia (yep, seriously!). In the past two years the building has been refurbished and reinvigorated into a new urban retail precinct. Welcome back Brisbane!!!!

OPENING in time for the coolest Christmas parties EVER, B. Lucky & Sons will be THE place to celebrate Springtime, footy finals, Santa’s arrival, New Year’s and everything else worth raising a glass for!!

So, grab your best peaky blinders cap, call your crew and pull up a pew when B Lucky & Sons throws open its doors on Thursday 27th September. Every day is fortune-filled at B. Lucky & Sons.
